Standardize

One system. One repeatable approach.

The SORT Protocol™ provides a simple, standardized framework for consistent IV line organization and tracing within existing clinical workflows.

  1. Separate

    One line, one channel.

  2. Organize

Use a minimum of two LINE-SORT pads per set of IV lines, approximately 12–15 inches apart along the tubing pathway, depending on the clinical setup.

  3. Reconcile

Confirm every line matches its active medication or fluid order, per facility policy. Mismatch? Stop, correct, recheck.

  4. Trace

Follow your facility's tracing protocol. Trace and verify IV lines before administration or adjustment, in accordance with facility policy.

The SORT Score

Plan with your facility's inputs.

Estimate IV line organizer utilization, IV tubing investment, and spend potentially associated with premature replacement using your facility's census, tubing profile, replacement practices, and acquisition costs.

Illustrative planning estimates, not guaranteed savings. This is not a measure of clinical outcomes.
